History in a hotel – Review of Hotel Alejandro

Based on photos and reviews, Hotel Alejandro is an old hotel, which gave me the impression that it may be hosting some long-time in-house “guests. Hotel Alejandro has an old world charm. It’s added value can be found in the countless photos that hang on the walls – a veritable museum full of photos from many years ago – such as pre- and post-World War II – learning about the history of Tacloban City and Leyte province. Stayed for 2 nights and it was a comfortable stay. The amenities and facilities were modest, but modern. Sadly though, you could barely connect to WiFi and if you do, the signal is weak and very slow. I particularly enjoyed the nightly outdoor barbecue from which you can choose from a variety of seafood, chicken and meat – freshly-grilled to perfection, delicious and very affordable. What can’t be said about this place? It has charm, history, charisma, style and the price is excellent.
